Precision Health onsite nurse practitioner clinic for a global technology company in Dublin: advanced nurse practitioners, 20-minute appointments, illness and injury care, bloods, ECG and blood pressure, ongoing conditions, referrals and vaccines

In short

A new model of workplace healthcare in Ireland: since September 2026, Precision Health has run a weekly onsite nurse practitioner clinic at the Dublin office of a global technology company with more than 2,500 employees in Dublin, over 1,500 of them onsite every day, working with the company's employee benefits partner. Employees book a 20-minute appointment online and see an advanced nurse practitioner at work, who can examine, treat, prescribe, run tests and refer on when needed.

The challenge

The company wanted to give its Dublin workforce of more than 2,500 people, over 1,500 of whom are onsite daily, quick, convenient access to healthcare without the wait for a GP appointment or time away from the office. The service had to meet the company's health and safety requirements, protect employee privacy, and be easy for staff to book.

What we did

  • Built the clinic onsite. We equipped a dedicated clinic room at the office with an examination couch, ECG, blood pressure and blood-testing equipment, and emergency and anaphylaxis kit, all electrically tested before use.

  • Met the client's safety standards. We prepared full risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for nurse-led primary care, which the client signed off before launch.

  • Put a senior team in place. The clinic is led by three advanced nurse practitioners with prescribing authority, including Stephen Kelly, who has over 30 years of nursing experience and 25 years in emergency care.

  • Made booking simple and private. Employees book online through a secure booking link, with clear consent and data-privacy information. Clinical records are kept in our secure patient system, and the employer does not see individual medical information.

  • Launched with the team. An onsite promotion day on 28 September 2026 introduced the service to staff, and the first appointments ran the following day.

  • Kept it running weekly. The clinic runs one day a week with 20-minute appointments, and dates are already scheduled through to Christmas.

What employees can be seen for

  • Minor illness and injury: assessment, treatment and prescriptions

  • Blood tests, ECGs and blood pressure checks, with results followed up

  • Support for ongoing conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes

  • Health checks and prevention advice

  • Vaccinations

  • Referral to specialists or other services when needed

The results

  • A weekly onsite clinic launched within the client's safety and privacy requirements.

  • Employees can see a nurse practitioner at work, without waiting for a GP appointment or leaving the office.

  • Prescriptions, tests and referrals handled in one 20-minute visit where clinically appropriate.

  • Clinic dates already scheduled through to the end of the year, with more services being considered.

Why this matters for employers

This is a new model of workplace healthcare in Ireland. Instead of waiting for a GP appointment or leaving work, employees see an advanced nurse practitioner who can examine, treat, prescribe and refer, all at the office. An onsite clinic gives employees fast access to care and helps them deal with health problems early, so they spend less time off work. Precision Health has supported Irish employers since 2014 with occupational health, corporate wellness, health screening and flu vaccination. We work from clinics in Dublin 15 and Longford and can set up an onsite clinic at your workplace.
